What is Radio Link?

Radio Link brings together town centre businesses, Police, Wardens and CCTV - creating a security network that allows members to share information over a secure radio channel on  suspected or known offenders entering our town centres.

The Radio Link is not a hot line to the Police, Wardens or CCTV, but speeds up secure two way communication between all users. Utilising state of the art equipment, members share information on a group or one to one basis.

The radios have a 'panic over-ride' button for added personal security - particularly important when considering the reduction in shop floor staff and the lone worker. More than just a security network, the Radio Link improves staff confidence and moral, reducing a sense of isolation.

Regular team meetings with the Police, Wardens and CCTV operatives help share knowledge and build relationships between business users.

Erewash Partnership Ltd, the Police, Town Wardens and local businesses are working together to fight crime in our town centres. Trade is difficult and the current economic climate is challenging; therefore reducing loss and creating a safe environment to live, work and shop is vital.

"Since we joined the scheme in March our weekly stock loss has been significantly reduced. The radio pays for itselfand we feel saferbeing linked with so many other stores."
